Scripture is clear. God commands us to care for those in need. Moreover, the Bible describes authentic religious practice as “visit[ing] orphans and widows in their distress” (James 1:27, NASB).
The poverty and distress in the city of St. Louis can seem overwhelming. We believe God calls us as his people to embody Christ’s healing love for those who are in deep need throughout the Gateway City.
